It's Lent, Not Lint -- What is the Season of Lent About?

"We are talking about Lent! Not lint."

The season of Lent is the forty or so days before Easter Sunday. What does it mean to observe Lent? Does it just mean giving up chocolate or those other delicious desserts?

Lent is a matter of the Spirit, and focuses not only on giving up, but aslo on new beginnings. Did you know you could dedicate your Lenten experience to learning something new? Or maybe building a new, healthy habit? Researchers say it only takes about 21 days to form a new habit. With twice as many days to work with during Lent, there's time to step back and reflect on what God might have you do.
